The terroir of mountain cheeses: a focus on microbes, animals and production systems

12th Mountain Cheese meeting | (20-22 June 2017)  




Preliminary program:

20th of June: Three scientific sessions held in the University of Padova (campus Agripolis - Legnaro):

  1. New insights on microbiota, from the environment of the farm to the cheese
  2. Phenotyping of milk properties interesting for cheese-making
  3. The farming systems and cheese quality

21st of June: Visit in an alpine summer farm of the Dolomite Mountains (Malga Juribello, Autonomous Province of Trento), on-farm short communications and social event

22nd of JuneTechnical session and visit of Venice (to be confirmed)



Paper submission: maximum 4 pages texts for communications or posters are expected for the March 31th2017, format will be available soon

Papers will be revised by reviewers and the accepted  contributes will be published in the book of proceedings. Remember to indicate in which session (see the preliminary program above) you would like to give your presentation.

Registration fee: 150 euros (within April 30th, 2017; for later registrations an extra cost of 50 euros will be charged)

Phd student and post doc presenting papers can apply for a scholarships covering the registration fee.
